CRYO 6: cryotherapy and skin cooling system

Cryo 6 is a new generation of cryotherapy systems from the German company Zimmer MedizinSystems, which use a cold jet of air to effectively relieve pain, reduce tumors and restore muscle tone after injuries.

Cryo 6 DERMA goes beyond by providing a temporary anesthetic effect, reducing the risk of pain and thermal damage during laser and dermatological treatments. Unlike other cooling methods that rely on contact, Cryo 6 DERMA cools the epidermis before, during, and after laser exposure, working seamlessly in conjunction with the laser beam.

  • 9 levels of airflow power control available
  • 6 programs with adjustable parameters
  • Built-in timer adjustable from 00:00 to 99:59 minutes
  • Adapted for use with medical lasers
  • No need for consumables

/ Applications
The Zimmer MedizinSystems Cryo 6 DERMA device impacts the patient’s body with a stream of cold air, allowing for the rapid alleviation of pain, reduction of tissue swelling, and toning of muscles. It ensures precise localized exposure and maintains constant cooling parameters tailored to each individual patient.

The directed flow of cold air at a sufficiently high power has a localized effect on the skin’s surface, yielding the desired therapeutic outcome. In contrast to other cooling methods like ice bags or cryospray, which solely provide contact-based effects, the Cryo 6 DERMA reduces local skin temperature much more rapidly. The cold portions are carefully measured and remain constant until the end of the procedure. The primary advantage of this device lies in its almost complete elimination of the risk of burns.
